Today we welcome a new lab member, Dr. Jianguo Zhang who has a joint affiliation with the group of Anna Överby Wernstedt at the Department of Clinical Microbiology. Jianguo’s background is material science and focussed ion-beam milling, and he most recently worked at the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. With the Överby lab, he will study virus infection in situ in infected tissue using FIB milling and cryo-electron tomography. Jianguo was recruited through the MIMS/UCMR Excellence by Choice postdoc programme. Welcome to the lab!
