It’s time again for the PI to label a nice bottle to celebrate a group member achievement. This time, we’re celebrating our postdoc Himanshu Sharma for getting a (tenured!) PI position at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal.

Himanshu came from the group of Jonas Barandun to our group, as a self-funded Marie Curie-postdoc to work on microsporidia. These mysterious eukaryotic parasites, which inject their entire cell contents into another cell, will also be the subject of Himanshu’s own group in Lisbon. Himanshu, you’ve really earned the opportunity that you are now getting. Best of luck and stay in touch!
