On a sunny day in July, we went for a rather quirky lab “outing”: playing indoor Pétanque at Organgeriet in Umeå. As usual, our group grows during the summer months with the arrival of summer students (this summer Louise Nenzén and Oskar Skoglund), so we had two big teams of competitive players. Fig. 1: The scale bars were out! Nice food and drinks reunited us after the game (Fig. 2). Incidentally, this was the last picture of its kind since Tim has finished his PhD and Karim is leaving for a group leader position in Groningen. We will miss you both!
